Upcycling

The concept: to breathe "new life" into this precious, natural material.

The production of over 80,000 pairs of touring skins generates approximately 2 tons of material waste each year that would otherwise end up in the trash.

Climbing skins are woven from the hair of the Angora goat, one of the finest and most valuable textile fibers. To make the most of this natural resource, the leftover material is transformed into high-quality accessories, either directly by Koch alpin or in collaboration with European partners.

The goal of this upcycling project is to minimize waste and give this leftover material a second life!
