Skin Care Clinic at Arc’teryx Munich

Fellpflege-Klinik bei Arc’teryx in München

Last month, a skin care clinic took place at the Arc’teryx store in Munich, focusing on the maintenance and refurbishment of ski touring skins. Rather than a traditional workshop, the event was designed as a hands-on service opportunity, allowing participants to have their skins professionally treated on site.

Reproofing and reconditioning

During the clinic, skins were reproofed and the adhesive layer was renewed, helping to restore grip, glide and reliability in winter conditions. With frequent use and changing snow types, regular skin maintenance is essential—not only for performance on the ascent, but also for extending the overall lifespan of the equipment.

The clinic highlighted how skin care is becoming an increasingly important topic within the ski touring community, particularly as more people look to maintain their gear properly rather than replace it prematurely.

Good conversations and shared experience

Alongside the practical service, the clinic created space for good conversations. Participants exchanged experiences from the field, discussed care routines and shared insights on how different conditions affect skin performance. The open, relaxed atmosphere underlined the value of direct, hands-on formats like this.

Thanks to Arc’teryx

A big thank you to Arc’teryx for providing the opportunity to host this skin care clinic in their Munich store and for supporting meaningful, practical exchanges within the ski touring community.
